Art is redefined by artists who have a passion for it, and Ms.Mililli is no exception. The Mother Merlin Mililli is an American Artist who not only covers an array of genres but also works in a rainbow of mediums. She paints, sculpts, and designs. She is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar, piano and harmonica.
Starting at age four, she attended school for dance and continued for 7 years in tap, jazz and ballet. She graduated from Shelton High School and attended Johnson County Community College for Fine Art for two years. She began working in art galleries in 1993 and continued to work in galleries until her son was born in 2000.
Ms.Mililli is formally trained in art and dance but in music she is entirely self taught. She sings with a rare contralto voice and writes not only lyrics but original music scores as well. Her music covers many genres; blues, rock, r&b, country,folk,funk and punk. She has been singing since she was two years old, playing piano since she was 3, harmonica since she was 16 and playing guitar since she was 18.she has been performing on stages nationwide since she was 5 and selling her art since 1990.
Her visual art has a distinct, child-like, whimsical style that stands out and makes her pieces all mesh together.
In 1999, she met her husband, Scott Greenlee, whom she later married and had three children with , raised four children with, divorced and married again. The two are currently married and live in California with their three children.
